Workforce Center to host drive-through job fair in Frankfort Township
The Workforce Center of Will County will host a drive-through job fair from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 23, at the Frankfort Township office building, 11000 W. Lincoln Highway, Frankfort.
Rain date for the event is Sept. 30.
Workforce Center Manager Susan Flessner said people should be prepared to make a good impression in one to two minutes.
“Job seekers who need assistance with resumes or elevator speeches to promote themselves or their skills can email us at careerservices@jobs4people.org or call (815) 774-6354 prior to the job fair,” she said.
Jobs available are assemblers, auditor/inventory/quality inspector, forklift drivers, janitors, pickers/packers, saw operator, unloaders, security officers, caregivers, warehouse team member, CNC machinists, home inspection laborer, warehouse associate.
Also, monitors/aides, van drivers, controller, inside sales representative, maintenance apprentice, material handler, skilled maintenance mechanic, independent living coaches, program specialist and special education teacher.
Will County Executive Denise Winfrey hopes those looking for these types of jobs will take advantage of the event.
“We are changing how we do business here in Will County. Our goal is to protect the health and safety of our residents, while still providing employment opportunities. All applicants will wear masks or face coverings and speak to potential employers from their cars.”
